A structured 5-session career guidance programme for Grade 10 students, built on self-discovery, not guesswork.
Using established frameworks from educational psychology, we guide students through their interests, influences, family patterns, and personal story and bring it together into a one-page career profile.
They pick Science because their marks are good enough. Commerce because a parent suggested it. Arts because it feels like the only option left. Or they pick what their friends are picking, because at 15, that feels safer than not knowing.
None of these are bad decisions made by bad people. They are decisions made without enough self-knowledge.
Stream choice shapes the next two years of school, the college options that follow, and often the first career direction a student commits to. It does not need to be a permanent decision, but it works much better when it comes from the inside out.
This programme gives students that self-knowledge before the choice is made.
This is a career guidance programme run by a trained facilitator, using established frameworks from educational psychology. Each session builds on the one before.
Each session uses a different established framework and adds a new layer to the student's self-picture. The full programme brings everything together.
Students who complete the full programme receive a career profile co-created with the facilitator. It is not generated by a questionnaire. It is built from four sessions of structured exploration.
| Section | What it captures | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Interest profile | RIASEC interest code with a plain-language description of what it means in practice | Session 1 |
| Character strengths | Top 5 character strengths and how they show up in work and study | Async (full package only) |
| Systems and influences | The key family, school, community, and cultural messages that have shaped their career thinking | Session 2 |
| Family patterns | What they want to consciously carry forward from their family's story and what they want to choose differently | Session 3 |
| Life theme | A narrative summary of who they are, what they are drawn to, and what they are trying to build | Session 4 |
| Session 5 debrief | Review of the completed profile with the facilitator. Discussion of career directions and next steps. | Session 5 |
The profile is built in a 60-minute private session included with the full package. It is co-created with the student, drawing on everything explored across Sessions 1 to 4. It is not a report that gets auto-generated.
The 1:1 Career Profile session and the final career profile document are available only to students who purchase the full package. Session 1 can be attended by anyone with no prerequisite.
Ram is the founder of BridgEd and the sole facilitator for this programme.
He holds an MSc in Educational Psychology from Christ University and a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. His work spans career guidance, psychometric assessment, group facilitation, curriculum design, and student development.
He has worked directly with students at the school and college level, led psychometric assessment programmes, and supported career guidance events reaching hundreds of students and families. He approaches career guidance as a structured, evidence-informed process, not a quick-fix assessment or a generic recommendation.
This programme draws on frameworks he has used in practice, adapted for the specific developmental stage of Grade 10 students approaching a real decision.
